Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination. -Mark Twain

I have yet to find something for my mom. I am such a bad daughter right now. I have NO clue what to do right now. Tomorrow is my goal to find something and I will tell her that I will send it this weekend or next week. Bah.

Field trip yesterday was a super success! The kids had a blast as did my grade partner and I. It was the most amazing time ever. I know that it is awesome when the kids are still talking about it the next day. Yay!

We are down to 8 days left of school. One of my kids asked if their class was one of my most favorite or least favorite classes. I smiled and thought for a moment...because honestly, they are probably my favorite class out of the three I have had since becoming a teacher. I finally sighed and said, "All my classes are different, but I have to say you guys are pretty awesome. I am going to be super sad when you all move on to 4th grade". And that is the truth. My eyes might well up and I might sniffle some tears. Then next year I might wish they find their way back to my room, but they will keep walking to 4th grade. They are pretty awesome kids, that's for sure.

It's bed time. These allergies are making my eyes itch!

don't worry you're not the only one who hasn't gotten her mom a gift.

It sounds like you and I have the same type of relationship with our moms. I still am deciding what to get her. I got her two yankee candles and a GC to the spa she goes to. I was trying to think of something else creative, but haven't come up with anything.

Glad your field trip went well. And NINE days of school left. I am totally jelly!! What are your summer plans?

My daughter is moving into the 3rd grade next year. She always has major seperation anxiety from her previous teacher. They have always made it such a great experience for her and it sounds like you do the same for your students. Teachers are one in a million!

I love that quote...kinda true, they do seem a little but mutually exclusive!
