Sleepy...sleepy...sleepy

I will be 18 weeks tomorrow! Holy cow! Time is really flying by now that we are back at school. We get to find out what Baby S. is in 17 days. I am super excited and ready for it to get here!

My tummy has really started sticking out now. It is so crazy to look down and realize there is a baby in there. It flutters around from time to time, so I can feel it. I can't wait until I feel it consistently and where I can really pick it out.

School has been making me exhausted along with this pregnancy. I have more energy, but now that it is Thursday I am done. I was so tired today I could hardly stand up at the end of the day. Blah.

I hope to post an 18 week photo soon!

Exhaustion, anyone?

Third day of school down...171 to go, I think. My class is amazing this year! Moving to 5th grade was a wonderful idea. I love my students and how easy to talk to they are. They are so much fun and they get humor. It's so much fun! All the new programs are a little stressful, I can't lie, but I know they will be good to have in the long run.

Baby Schwartz is popping out a little more and my belly button is tight and starting to not be so deep. It's crazy that over the past couple of days I have noticed how it has changed. It's a nice feeling though...even though I felt like a bus this morning! Thankfully I have a great husband that makes me feel good about it all. He's pretty awesome.

I need to get some school stuff done and head to bed. I have gone to bed at 8:30 Tuesday night and 9:00 last night. Let's see what I can do tonight! It's already 7:30 and I am zonked.

Back to School!

Yesterday was the first day of school...Let me run through with just a few quick thoughts.

- It took a little more to get excited this year about going back. Not sure if it is the overwhelming feeling of all the new programs or the fact that I loved not doing anything for 3 months!

- My kids are great this year! I had them 2 years ago in third grade and they are so much fun!

- I forgot how much talking I do in one day...scratchy throat!

- Standing...ugh...my feet and back were killing me last night!

- I definitely went to bed at 8:30 last night, and probably could have gone sooner!

Day 2 is here and I'm so tired still. Lots to do today and a meeting after school. I do like being back in a routine, but I still really liked my old routine of the summer! This school routine consists of being up at 5am...no good.

16 weeks!

Due to request, here is a belly shot of me at 16w2d...
I went to the doctor today and I have gained 4lbs...which would put me at a pound a week since my second trimester began. That is what the doctor and things I have read recommended was good weight gain. I felt pretty good about it! The baby's heartbeat was 154.

4 weeks from today we find out what Baby S. is! I am super excited to find out. I can't wait for 4 weeks to fly by quickly!

Back to school...for me...

Back to work...today was the first day we were contracted back. It basically consists of sitting through meetings. That is the fun of the first couple days of being contracted back. Tomorrow is a morning scattered with meetings, lunch, working in my room, and then OPEN HOUSE! Open house is where the kids get to see who their teacher is for the year. It is exciting for them and for us. The fun thing is that I had some of these students 2 years ago, so I can't wait to see them this year!

I will be at the end of week 16 tomorrow. Wow, time is flying by now! Baby S. is going to be an avocado tomorrow. Mmm...avocados...that sounds yummy!

I could use a nap after getting up super early for 3 days. *yawn*

"Orange" you glad it's Friday?

We are at 15 weeks today...it is amazing how quickly time goes. We now have an orange. It's weird to think of it being a fruit, but at least I can keep track of what size it is.

Nausea has pretty much gone away. I can eat food now and enjoy most of it. I still don't want grilled chicken, but they say the food aversions take awhile to like again. Heartburn can be avoided as long as I take it easy on spice. The breakouts on my face are annoying, so I just need to stay in my house (or wear makeup!). The headaches are on and off. As long as I have caffeine, it can kick the headaches to the side.

I'm excited to feel it move. I know that is coming in the next couple of weeks. We get to find out what this baby is in 5 weeks! 5 weeks! So ready!!!

Enjoy this weekend! I hear it isn't supposed to be so icky hot.

Don't drink the water!

Lamination, butcher paper, staplers...ah, the familiar items to put a classroom together. Goodness...it seems like it takes days to get everything back in order. I know this year it is taking more since I have moved to a different room. Next year I am leaving most everything up so I don't have to come in and spend forever and a day in my room. Now, I say this, but I'm sure I will spend the same amount of time next year as I did this year in my room. *sigh*

After not sleeping 2 nights I slept about 12+ hours last night. It was much needed and welcomed. I am in a MUCH better mood today. I'm sure Mr. S. appreciates it!

There is a small baby boom at my school right now...there are 6 of us pregnant (2 of those are male teachers whose wives are pregnant). It is insane! Don't drink the water...unless you want a present in 9 months!

14 weeks and we have a lemon!

14 weeks! So I am clearly out of the first trimester, and I am feeling better. Now it is just new symptoms that take over for the really crappy ones in the first trimester. Instead of all day nausea, it's all day headaches. Instead of being exhausted I am...well, exhausted because I can't seem to sleep at night.

So now this lemon and I are just hanging out until September 13th to find out if it is a boy or a girl. I wish I could know sooner, but the doctor wants to wait until 20 weeks.

School starts in 2 weeks...2 weeks! Eek! I can't believe summer is going away already. There is so much to do before the year starts. There always is...
