Can you imagine a world without men? No crime and lots of happy fat women. ~Nicole Hollander

Yep, this is my dog on the couch first thing of the morning. I can guarantee this is where you can find him every morning when I am getting ready for work. Right now he is kinda snoring. Awesome. He's cute at this time of the day!

Does anyone else find themselves addicted to DIY network, TLC, and HGTV? Everytime I watch that show I come up with more and more ideas for the house. I think that Mr. S. hates when I watch these shows because then I pester him with ideas that I want to do around here. The cost money. That's where the tricky part comes in. I have made it my goal to try to do one thing around the house that is a good change each month. I think it is totally doable. I have been on Target's, JCPenney's, and Wal-Mart's websites to get an idea of what I want in the house. We'll see. For now, it is more Moving Up, Property Ladder, and Kitchen Renovations. Yep.

Have a lovely Monday!

lol at the quote. I have so many things to do around the house. I am now at the stage of prioritizing where we are spending our money. A good way to start is to find something you really love (it doesn't have to be pricey). I just switched up my mantle and got all new decs and with a 20% off sale I think it was a little over $100. Every time I look at my mantle now I smile. I also love having a gorgeous wreath on my front door.

Good luck and post photos of what you buy. I have lots of decisions to make this week.

First, that quote is hilarious! I love it! Also, I am addicted to HGTV! I watch TLC too, but not as often.

I don't think hubby appreciates my love of HGTV either. I always have some new idea and projects in my head.

Love the doggy pic!
btw, I made the creamy chicken and pasta bake off the kraft website tonight and Dale and I just thought it was ok. It seems like a lot of those kraft recipes don't have any spices in them for flavor and I'm just not talented enough to think of them on my own!

I swear I feel just cleaning & re-arranging everything in the home makes a big improvement. I don't mean weekly cleaning but the big spring clean & curtain, towel, WHATEVER change, and it costs almost nothing. ~Mary

Now that our newly remodeled spare bathroom is the nicest room in the house I've got the bug to spruce up the rest of the rooms. I recently purchased a new area rug, lamp and throw pillows for the living room and it made a huge difference.

You can totally change things up inexpensively...but a kitchen remodel? Cha-ching!
