The end of 10

I can't believe that we are already closing in on the end of 2010. It has been an amazing year, that's for sure.

Mr. S. and I celebrated 10 years as a couple in March
We found out we were pregnant in May.
With our friends, we traveled to Florida on vacation in June.
The baby was found to be a boy in September.
Mr. S. and I celebrated 3 years married in December.

It was a great year, but I know that 2011 is going to be even bigger. We are going to start the year with the birth of our baby boy. I am so excited, anxious, scared, nervous...a bundle of nerves! Right now it is more the anticipation of when labor will happen than anything. I like to plan and I like to know when things are going to happen. Not knowing when he will decide to come, that is hard for me!

I can't wait for 2011, to see what changes it brings. I can only hope and dream that it is a wonderful year!

Dear Baby,

Please get your foot out of my rib. It hurts.

Love,
Your mom

Pregnancy Insomnia

I'm awake. It's 5:08. On a Sunday. Have been awake since 4:30. Ugh...

Yes, I'm sure this is "preparation for motherhood" or whatever else people would like to tell me, but it doesn't make it any nicer.

I have to get in a car for about 3 hours for Christmas today with my mom and step-family. I am excited to see my mom, not excited to sit in a car for 3 hours. I'll have to be frugal with the water today. Hopefully my feet won't swell like crazy.

6 more weeks left until my due date! Holy cow! I am looking forward to Christmas break starting Wednesday. I am planning to pack my bag for the hospital and get the nursery done. Yay!

Off to try to get in a couple of hours of sleep before my actual alarm clock goes off...*yawn*

Bah Humbug

It isn't that I am not into Christmas, but I am not as excited as usual. Christmas is typically my FAVORITE holiday. I love the music, the lights, the feeling, everything...but this year, I don't have the motivation to put up the tree, the lights, or anything. I was trying to figure out why this is. I think I discovered why.

Due to trying to get the house ready for Parker, I feel that putting up Christmas decor is only going to irritate me when I am trying to nest. It is just getting out more stuff that I will have to put up. I just want my house to be clean, and I guess I feel that the Christmas stuff will only clutter the house. Now, I have put up a few decorations, so that is good. I just don't want to get the tree out and put together this year.

Next year there will SO be a tree because it will be Parker's first Christmas and he will be close to a year old. He will be able to be mesmerized by the lights and sounds of Christmas. I will go all out next year for him, but this year, I need to keep it low key for my own sanity!

32 weeks...

It has been almost a month since I have posted. Eek! I just don't have the motivation to do much of anything right now. I seem to have so much other stuff to do that I can't focus on this. But this is what is going on right now.

I am currently 32 weeks as of today. This is me at 30 weeks.

Yep, this is what I was working with 2 weeks ago. My baby bump is itchy and sore. The baby is super busy moving around all the time. I love it! The downside...my swollen feet. Ick. I go to the doctor again Monday, but I don't think it is anything serious. My blood pressure has been really good each time I have gone in. I think it is just swollen feet that I have to stand on most all day at work.

Christmas break is around the corner. I could use a long break from the kids at school!

Bathroom Remodel

The weekend is already over...ugh...

This weekend my husband tackled the bathroom remodel. What is finished: the paint, the new floor, the new vanity is in, and the toilet has been put back and can be used. What needs to be completed: finish putting up the stinkin' new light fixture that has been causing Mr. S. some grief, put up accessories, and put up decor.Oh, and trim.

I am glad the bathroom has the paint and floor done. It makes it look SO much more updated. When the whole thing is done, I will post a photo.

This time change threw me off this morning. My body wanted to get up at 4 since it felt like 5. No good. And I really didn't sleep last night due to this lovely sinus thing I have going on. Ick. No biggie, dr. appointment today for my glucose test and baby check, maybe she can check my sinuses as well.

By the way, I am 28 weeks now! Into the 3rd trimester, and only a few short weeks left!!! My baby shower is next weekend WAY back home, but I am so looking forward to it!

I miss sleep

Sleep...a good full night's sleep...boy, I miss that. Ever since finding out I was pregnant back at the end of May, I have had to get up and go to the bathroom at least once a night. Usually this is between 1:45 and 3. By about 4:30 I start to get super uncomfortable in bed. Ugh. I miss sleeping and waking up feeling rested. I know, I know, get used to it for the next 18 years.

The woman that I carpool with to work had her baby yesterday! I am so excited to go and visit them. He was 22 inches long! Wow, that is a long baby!!!

I think my husband is tearing apart our bathroom to redo it this weekend. I am SOOOO excited! I think he has a few home improvement projects planned for the next two weekend, which is awesome! My baby shower is next weekend, so he is going to finish up the baby's room by the time I get home. Then I can go crazy in there!!

Have a lovely weekend and don't forget to fall back!
