Exhuastion...

Awake at 5am on a Saturday...not how I wanted to start my day. Woke up at 3am to go to the bathroom. Then I woke up due to the dog ringing his bell thinking he was going to go outside, which he was not. Woke up at 4am with him ringing again, so this time I let him out. At 4:30 the cat decided to be a pain and annoy me. Then my nose was so stuffy I couldn't breathe, my back hurt and I couldn't get comfy, and I just couldn't toss and turn. I just got up. I'm tired. I could sleep. I'm just not comfy.

I am in my third trimester this week! Wow! Time has really flown. I can't quit baby registry stalking. My shower is in a couple of weeks and I can't quit getting online to see what has been fulfilled on the registry. I need to stop so I will be surprised! I am quite impressed and thankful for what people have bought off there, that's for sure. I am super excited for the shower though, that's for sure!

I hope I can get back to sleep at some point this morning. So tired....

One of THOSE Weeks

It is a long week here for me. I went to the dr. on Monday for my monthly baby check. Things are good. Had a smidge of an infection, so they have me on meds for it and I am feeling better. I link the infection to why I felt like crap last week.

Tuesday was okay, just long. Hopefully today speeds by because tomorrow is a half day at school due to parent/teacher conferences. We are at school in conferences from 1-7pm...6 hours. Eek! They are always exhausting because you have to be "on" for 6 hours and there are not many places for a break. I have to remember to drink water sparingly so I don't get up a bajillion time to go to the bathroom.
The happy news is that Friday was supposed to be a workday for teachers from 8-11:30, but they figured up our hours wrong somehow and now we don't have to come in at all on Friday!!!! That makes me so happy! One of my friends is flying into town and we are going to have lunch and get pedis. YAY!!

I am going to get myself ready for today. Have a lovely week everyone!

25 weeks

Tomorrow is 25 weeks that I have been pregnant with little Parker. This is what I looked like a week ago...

A nice little baby bump has formed on my abdomen. He is super busy moving around in there. Parker is pretty busy kicking and turning. I know I have had some pains under my ribs...probably from organs being pushed around. I am pretty uncomfortable and I still have 15 weeks left...oh goodness. I would really like to go get a prenatal massage. That sounds fantastic!

Things have been insane lately which explains my lack of blogging. Work has been insanely busy and I am ready for a little break, that's for sure. But I know there is very little chance of that happening in the near future. Ugh.

I am ready for a nap. *yawn*

Woah, big update!

It's been awhile...life got really hectic last week.

I spent two nights last week at work until past 7pm. Insane. Then I had a smidge of a breakdown on Thursday night. I was really tired and irritated and I wanted Taco Bell on the way home. I stopped in and the line for the drive-thru was super long, so I decided to go inside. Inside it was really busy and kind of had a sketchy crowd, so I left. By the time I got home, the Taco Bell issue really got to me because I knew there was only sandwich fixings at home and that wasn't what I wanted. I was teared up when Mr. S. got out of the shower. After asking how my day was and hearing my sniffly reply, he asked what was wrong...well, that opened the flood gates. I bawled. I mean, really...bawled. Ugh. I was so upset about being tired and cranky and hungry...

So needless to say, he told me to get my shoes on and took me back to Taco Bell. What a great hubs!

Truman was in a little dog attack that night, too. Mr. S. was walking him and the neighbor's dog came out. It wouldn't come back to the house, but she wasn't causing any trouble. She was just sniffing Truman, no biggie. Well, while they were sniffing, the owner shocked her with the shock collar because she wouldn't come back when he called. Since Truman was standing right there, she bit his behind. And I mean, she really got it. Then she got some other nips in on him.

Today his behind is a little infected. We have been putting stuff on it and monitoring it. I am so pissy at the neighbors for this. Poor Truman is miserable and he has a hole where she bit him. Poor guy. :(

Happy News!

I am in a super good mood! I have been worried about getting daycare arranged for the baby. Everyone I called was booked or not taking more infants. I didn't know what I was going to do. I put myself on one lady's waiting list because I had heard great things about her. Then there was another one that I heard was going to contact me, but I was not as interested in her after feeling like I was blown off in past conversations. Anywho, last night I got a call from the lady I really like and she has an opening! Mr. S. and I are going to meet with her next week to see if we both like her and to see her house. I can't wait! The stress of daycare could be done within the next week! Who know that a babysitter for an unborn child could be this big of a headache?!

We ordered Parker's crib last night, which is awesome! It should be here sometime next week. That will help me start to get his room together. I can't wait!

Oh, and my mom ordered the travel system for us! She is going to give it to me at my baby shower in November. Yay!!!
After seeing our friends and their newborn Sunday, the reality of Mr. S. and I having a baby is setting in for me. I mean, I watch him move around and feel him kick, but then I have to remember he comes out to be taken care of here in a few months. I know I can't wait to meet him though. This whole "being a mom" thing has me pretty excited!

I am 21 weeks 3 days today! The time is flying by so quickly!

And we are having a...

...BOY! Our ultrasound yesterday went really well and we found out almost as soon as we got in there what the baby's gender is. Mr. S. is super excited! I love seeing his reaction to things that have to do with this pregnancy. It is really genuine and it makes me really glad that we waited until we were really ready to have a baby.

My mom was there yesterday, too. It was great to have her with us. She was so excited to actually see her grandchild on the ultrasound. After we got done, we of course went shopping. We bought a bunch of really cute outfits and Mr. S. had to buy the "perfect teddy bear". It's huge and super soft. That was the one thing that he said the baby had to have yesterday. I think it's sweet.

So, Baby Parker will join us in January. Now it is time for mommy start planning! I have lots of things to get done now!!

Oh, and one of Mr. S.'s best friends and his wife gave birth to their baby girl at midnight today. We are so excited to have kids close enough together they can be playmates...or get married! Haha! I can't wait to go meet her!

It's been a great baby week so far!

Tomorrow is THE day!

Baby S. will have a gender tomorrow! I can't wait for tomorrow afternoon so that I can finally know for sure what this baby is. My mom is going to come up to go to the dr. with Mr. S. and I. She really wants to see the ultrasound and go shopping. I hope the rest of today passes quickly and that I can get plenty of sleep tonight.

Mr. S. is riding in the MS150 this weekend. He is on day 2 right now. Hopefully him and the rest of the team will finish within the next 3 hours, then it is on to dinner at one of my faves, and then relaxation time.

I think a nap is in order right now....
